About the eventMuslim Community Service Awards (MCSA)
The Muslim Community Service Awards (MCSA) aim to celebrate the contribution of those who have helped and supported in communities.
About this Event
The current environment of rising xenophobia and discrimination, can sometimes undermine the sincere efforts made by individuals and organisations who have worked to encourage community cohesion, and helped engender a more just and fair society. This is one of the key reasons why The Muslim Community Service Awards (MCSA) have been established. These awards aim to celebrate the contribution of those who have helped and supported individuals in communities to improve their conditions and quality of life.
The Awards are an initiative of the Muslim Community Association (MCA), a grassroots community organisation that strives to empower Muslims to take an active part in society, in a collaborative and mutually beneficial way. The MCA feels that the issuance of these Awards are more necessary than ever, in an environment where Islamophobic sentiment continues, and some individuals still continue to actively help foster a sense of belonging, trust, and respect, amongst all their community members.
