The East London Mosque & London Muslim Centre is taking part in the Muslim Council of Britain’s national initiative; #VisitMyMosque Open Day.
The Open Day is an invitation to you and your family to spend the day touring the Mosque, learning, asking questions, putting ‘faces to places’, and to explore special insights into ‘faith and food’ from the Qur’an.
Important note – As a religious institution and place of worship, both male and female visitors are requested to observe modest dress, this means:
- Please do not wear shorts, short skirts or short dresses
- Avoid see-through, skin-tight and low cut clothing
- If you visit the carpeted prayer areas you will need to take off your shoes, and female visitors should cover their heads with a scarf or shawl (scarves will be available to use).
Photography/Filming:
You can take photos inside the Mosque of the architecture but please avoid taking photos of the worshippers without their permission.
We occasionally take photographs of our services to share with a wider audience. This may include anyone who visits our premises. Such photographs may be used by the East London Mosque Trust in newsletters, leaflets, posters, brochures, broadcast and internet media.
