About this event

WHAT IS NAWAWI’S COLLECTION OF 40 HADITH?

Al-Arba’in Al-Nawawiyyah (The Forty Hadith of Imam An-Nawawi) is one of the most prominent hadith compilations, consisting of forty prophetic traditions that summarise essential teachings of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). This collection serves as a treasury of principles and teachings underpinning all aspects of the religion.

While earlier scholars also compiled forty hadith collections focusing on various themes—such as fundamentals of faith, ethics, and spirituality—Imam An-Nawawi aimed to encompass all these aspects in his compilation.

Imam An-Nawawi’s compilation is arguably the most famous and influential, which the scholars say is a testament to its acceptance and the blessings contained within it. It is a staple for all seekers of knowledge, and has been thoroughly enjoyed and studied for centuries.
