Islam Through My Eyes
Bradford’s contemporary Islamic art exhibition
Islam Through My Eyes is a two-day exhibition dedicated to faith and art through the lens of Muslim artists living in the West. Featuring 16 artists across the UK, each work explores Islam as a source of inspiration, experience and deep love.
Featuring: Haleema Ashfaq, Farah Girach, Life in Detail, Haneefah Usmani, Calliscribe, Talat Ahmed, Ukhti Arts, Roadah Ibrahim, Safiyya Farooq, Claneesa, Amina Patel, Nadia Jainuddin, Fatima Ruqayya, Kasim Tariq, Tayyibah Baz and Nuhr Studio.
Living in the West, Muslim identity has too often been misunderstood or reduced to a single narrative. This exhibition challenges that. Through geometry, calligraphy, still life and other forms of mediums, it celebrates the visual language of Islamic art and demonstrates how powerful art can be within the boundaries of Islamic principles.
Each piece reflects a different style, perspective and personal journey. Together they form one powerful message: being Muslim is a diverse experience that simultaneously unites us. Shared values, spiritual threads and cultural resonance connect Muslim communities across time and place, and this exhibition makes that visible.
What to Expect
Original artworks by 16 UK-based Muslim artists, spanning a wide range of styles and practices.
Print sales are available on the day, with affordable printed versions of the artwork to support the artists and take a piece of the exhibition home.
A price list and artist contact details will be available for those interested in original work.
Who Is This For?
This exhibition is for everyone.
No prior knowledge of Islamic art or Muslim culture is required. The work speaks for itself, inviting emotional and visual engagement before intellectual analysis.
Whether you are part of a Muslim community rarely seen in art spaces, a non-Muslim curious about perspectives beyond media narratives, an art collector looking to diversify your collection, or simply someone who loves art, there is something here for you.
For collectors, this exhibition offers early access to original works by 16 emerging Muslim artists. Underrepresented in the market, these are artists worth knowing and worth investing in.
Entry: Free. Limited capacity. Book your spot to avoid disappointment.
