Route Description:
Our adventure begins in the charming village of Glenridding, nestled on the shores of Lake Ullswater. Known for its stunning scenery and tranquil atmosphere, Glenridding is the perfect starting point for our hike.
Starting at the Glenridding car park, we set off along the picturesque Glenridding Beck, a delightful stream that guides us through the initial part of our hike. Our journey begins with a climb up Lucy’s Tongue, leading us to Bleabank Side where the views start to open up.
We then make our way down through the tranquil woods of Seldom Seen, offering a serene backdrop as we approach Ullswater, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Lake District. The shimmering waters of Ullswater provide a stunning contrast to the rugged terrain of our hike.
The hike continues up Mossdale Beck, presenting us with more breathtaking scenery. Our path takes us to the ascent of Blaes Crag, a challenging section that rewards us with stunning panoramic views. We will then conquer the heights of Sheffield Pike, a prominent peak offering spectacular vistas of the surrounding landscape, including the magnificent Lake Ullswater below.
After a short briefing, we shall start the trek at 09:00 sharp. You should expect to be finished by 3pm.
