About Mufti Muhammad Sajaad
Mufti Muhammad Sajaad is a traditionally trained Islamic scholar with qualifications from both traditional and conventional academic institutions. He has an Islamic scholar’s degree from the Islamic seminary Dar al-Ulum Bury and a BA and MA from Leeds University and Loughborough University respectively. For the last ten years Mufti Sajjad has been delivering sermons, Islamic courses, and issuing fataawa related to contemporary issues facing the British Muslim community, in his home city of Birmingham. He is also the author of the following books and short treatises:
- The Fiqh of Dawah – A Commentary on 40 Hadith,
- Gog & Magog A Historical Analysis,
- Understanding Taqlid,
- The Difference Between the Salah of Men & Women,
- The Islamic Ruling on Three Talaqs & Halalah,

About Shaykh Mohammed Mahmoud
A London-based scholar and Imam, studied Shari’ah in the UK under a number of scholars after earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology from University College London (UCL). Serving as the Senior Imam at the Muslim Welfare House Mosque, Finsbury Park (2011-2018) and the East London Mosque (2018-2023), he provided religious guidance, led Friday sermons, and engaged in interfaith projects.
Currently, Shaykh Mohammed serves as the Shari’ah and Ethics Officer for a UK-based Islamic Finance Institution and co-founded the Salik Society with Shaykh Ammar Shinqiti, focusing on traditional Islamic sciences and spiritual development. Shaykh Mohammed Mahmoud is also the Head of Sacred Compass, a London based da’wah organisation focussing on spiritual development.
